For the past five years, Wanda’s home has been her place of comfort and peace. But when the recent storms swept through her community, rising floodwaters overwhelmed her sump pump. All she could do was watch as the water continued to rise, turning her safe haven into a place of uncertainty.
In the midst of that heartbreak, the Red Cross was there with compassion, support and a helping hand.
“I’m so grateful for the Red Cross and everyone who showed up for our community as we look at the road to recovery ahead of us,” Wanda shared.
