Dhaka : Energypac Fashions Limited has recently launched ‘EcoFill’, a sustainability initiative that aims to reduce the consumption of single-use plastic bottles by more than one million by 2030, reinforcing the company’s broader ESG commitment to responsible resource use and sustainable workplace practices.
Under \u2018EcoFill\u2019 initiatve, Energypac Fashions has replaced single-use plastic bottles with reusable glass ones for employees, visitors, partners and stakeholders at its offices and factories. It has also installed refill stations across these premises, letting employees top up the same bottle throughout the day instead of relying on bottled water packaged in single-use plastic.
Each refill station filters water through a Reverse Osmosis (RO) system and sterilizes the bottle to keep it clean and safe to use before every refill. The company has built the initiative around the principle of “Refill. Reuse. Respect.”, encouraging all stakeholders to make sustainability part of their everyday routine at work.
\u2018EcoFill\u2019 extends an environmental commitment Energypac has carried for some time. The company had earlier taken an initiative to reuse plastic bottles by turning them into plant pots, an eco-friendly and aesthetic alternative to simply throwing them away.
The initiative also aligns with Global environmental sustainability goals, apart from being an integral step in Energypac’s broader Environmental, Social and Governance strategy.
