{"id":291,"date":"2026-06-21T11:53:35","date_gmt":"2026-06-21T11:53:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newturn24.com\/?p=291"},"modified":"2026-06-21T11:53:37","modified_gmt":"2026-06-21T11:53:37","slug":"caab-inaguarated-civil-aviation-master-planning-overview-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newturn24.com\/?p=291","title":{"rendered":"CAAB Inaguarated Civil Aviation Master Planning Overview Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dhaka :<br>Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has inagurated the \u2018Civil Aviation Master Planning Overview\u2019 Workshop at Inter Continental hotel in Dhaka today, marking a significant step toward formulating a comprehensive, sustainable, and long-term development roadmap for Bangladesh\u2019s civil aviation sector.<br>The workshop focused on key aspects of future aviation sector development, infrastructure expansion, and the preparation of an integrated Civil Aviation Master Plan aligned with international standards and best practices.<br>The event was inagurated by Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, Afroza Khanam, as the Chief Guest. State Minister M. Rashiduzzaman Millat, attended the event as the Special Guest.<br>In her inaugural address, the Minister emphasized that aviation today is far more than a means of transporting passengers and cargo. It has become a vital driver of economic growth, trade expansion, tourism development, enhanced connectivity, employment generation, and international cooperation.<br>The Minister further highlighted that the development of a comprehensive Aviation Master Plan is indispensable to transforming Bangladesh into a regional aviation hub. She stressed that the Master Plan must clearly define the future position and aspirations of Bangladesh\u2019s aviation sector and provide strategic guidance for its long-term growth.<br>Addressing the gathering, the State Minister noted that the Government of Bangladesh has already undertaken and successfully implemented a number of major development initiatives in the civil aviation sector.<br>He stated that efforts are underway to formally commence operations of the Third Terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by the end of the current year. He also informed participants that preparations are in their final stages to operate Cox\u2019s Bazar Airport as an international airport.<br>The State Minister further noted that, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the government has taken proactive measures to modernize and fully operationalize four domestic airports across the country.<br>He expressed his appreciation to the officials of the Civil Aviation Authority for organizing the workshop and called for continued efforts to develop a skilled and competent workforce capable of supporting the future growth of Bangladesh\u2019s aviation industry.<br>The workshop was also attended by Ms. Fahmida Akhtar, NDC, Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, who joined the event as the Guest of Honour. The session was presided over by Air Vice Marshal Md. Mostafa Mahmud Siddique, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB).<br>The workshop brought together policymakers, aviation experts, industry stakeholders, and government officials to discuss strategic priorities and future directions for Bangladesh\u2019s civil aviation sector.
