Subsequently, the Club&#8217;s President, poet Hasan Hafiz, formally inaugurated the event, paying tribute to Ustad Azizul Islam. The evening, hosted by Kazi Rownak Hossain, Convener of the National Press Club&#8217;s Cultural Sub-Committee, began at 7:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among those present were Bakhtiar Rana, Treasurer of the National Press Club Managing Committee; committee members Kader Gani Chowdhury, Syed Abdal Ahmed, A.K.M. Mohsin, Shahnaz Begum Poly, and Mohammad Momin Hossain, along with club members, their families, distinguished guests and a large number of music enthusiasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The recital began with Raag Shyam Kalyan, followed by a brief Alap and compositions set to Jhaptal and Teental. Ustad Azizul Islam later performed Raag Hamsadhwani, Raag Jaijaivanti, and several other classical ragas. The evening concluded with enchanting dhuns in Mishra Pilu and Mishra Khamaj.
