Dhaka : Prime Bank PLC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Central Women\u2019s University (CWU) to make banking services more seamless, modern and technology-driven. The agreement was signed under the bank\u2019s education-focused initiative, \u201cPrimeAcademia.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under the partnership, a range of banking services will be extended to students, faculty members, administrative staff, guardians and the institution itself. These include automated tuition fee collection, institutional business accounts, payroll management, special savings accounts, need-based loan facilities, priority credit card services, as well as various non-banking and skill development opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the signing ceremony held recently, Shaila Abedin, Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Liability and Women Banking Division of Prime Bank, and Dr. Perween Hasan, Vice Chancellor of Central Women\u2019s University, were present. They exchanged the signed MoU on the occasion. The agreement was formally signed by M M Mahbub Hasan, Senior Vice President and Head of Financial Inclusion and School Banking Division of Prime Bank, and Dr. Perween Hasan on behalf of their respective institutions. Elias Ahmed, Registrar of the university, along with senior officials from both organizations, were also present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the event, M M Mahbub Hasan highlighted Prime Bank\u2019s specialized banking solutions for the university community. He said that developing financial services tailored to the needs of the education sector, beyond traditional banking, is now essential. He emphasized equal importance on access to financial services, financial literacy, and customer-friendly digital solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prime Bank said it views the education sector as a key area for financial inclusion. Through this initiative, the bank aims to simplify institutional financial management while expanding banking services for teachers, staff, students and guardians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through \u201cPrimeAcademia,\u201d Prime Bank seeks to further strengthen the link between classrooms and financial systems. The initiative is expected to enhance students\u2019 financial capability and awareness of money management, while also ensuring smooth and accessible banking services for faculty, staff, guardians and institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The bank\u2019s initiative places strong emphasis on integrating institutional banking, personal financial management and financial literacy into the education ecosystem. Prime Bank hopes this will contribute to building a more inclusive and effective financial environment within the education sector.
