Dhaka : Syed M Omar Tayub has recently been promoted as Additional Managing Director of Prime Bank. With more than 26 years of diverse experience in the banking sector, Syed M Omar Tayub brings extensive expertise in Investment Banking, SME and Consumer Banking, Branch banking and Credit Risk Management. He is currently on deputation and will continue to serve as the Managing Director & CEO of Prime Bank Investment PLC, where he has spearheaded the transformation of the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before rejoining Prime Bank in 2020, Mr. Tayub held several senior leadership positions, including Chief Business Officer, Head of MSME, Head of Credit & Collections, Head of Retail & Small Business Risk, Head of Emerging Small Business, and Head of Assets at Community Bank Bangladesh, Prime Bank, The City Bank, BRAC Bank, and Eastern Bank, respectively. He began his banking career with Standard Chartered Bank in 2000, where he served in various capacities within Consumer Banking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Tayub obtained his EMBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka, and holds a Master\u2019s degree in Physics from the University of Chittagong. He is a Credit Skill Assessment (CSA) certified professional from Omega Performance, USA, and holds an International Mergers & Acquisitions Certification from the Institute for Mergers, Acquisitions and Alliances (IM&A). He has also attended various local and overseas trainings and workshops throughout his career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
