·IOM Malaysia convened 12 civil society organizations, non-profit organizations and think tanks to discuss the intersections of climate change and human mobility in Malaysia on 14 July 2026.As sudden and slow-onset disasters continue to affect communities across the country, building evidence for policymaking and multi-stakeholder partnerships remains essential to strengthening preparedness, and supporting evidence-based responses to climate mobility. The workshop provided a platform to exchange perspectives on emerging challenges and identify research and policy gaps.We thank all participants for their valuable contributions and look forward to continuing this important dialogue. This is part of the Building Knowledge and Capacity on the Migration and Climate Change Nexus in South-East Asia project funded by the European Union for International Partnerships (DG INTPA).
