IOM Malaysia convened 12 civil society organizations, non-profit organizations and think tanks to discuss the intersections of climate change and human mobility in Malaysia on 14 July 2026.
As sudden and slow-onset disasters continue to affect communities across the country, building evidence for policymaking and multi-stakeholder partnerships remains essential to strengthening preparedness, and supporting evidence-based responses to climate mobility. The workshop provided a platform to exchange perspectives on emerging challenges and identify research and policy gaps.
We thank all participants for their valuable contributions and look forward to continuing this important dialogue.
