‘Most Sustainable Telecommunication Company of the Year’ Award

Dhaka : Grameenphone, the country’s leading telecommunications service provider, has been recognized as the ‘Most Sustainable Telecommunication Company of the Year’ at the SDG Brand Champion Awards 2026, highlighting its commitment to sustainable business practices and long-term value creation.

The company also received the ‘Most Sustainable Energy Initiative of the Year’ award for its efforts to improve energy efficiency and expand renewable energy adoption across its network operations.

The recognition reflects Grameenphone’s continued focus on integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into its business strategy. Through initiatives promoting climate action, digital inclusion, responsible business conduct, and community empowerment, the company continues to contribute to Bangladesh’s sustainable development journey.

Grameenphone has set a target to reduce its carbon emissions by 50% by 2030, using 2019 as the baseline year, while continuing to invest in greener and more energy-efficient network operations.
