Dhaka : Abul Kasem Mohiuddin Al-Amin has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Grameenphone. Effective from September 1, 2026, Al-Amin will lead Grameenphone’s technology division and continue to drive the company’s ambitions in network excellence, digital innovation and technology-led transformation, ensuring the delivery of world-class connectivity and superior customer experiences. Al-Amin brings nearly 23 years of leadership experience across Grameenphone and the wider Telenor Group. Over the course of his career, he has held a range of strategic leadership positions spanning network planning and deployment, operations, procurement and technology transformation. Prior to his appointment as CTO, Al-Amin served as Senior Director and Head of Network Services of Grameenphone, where he was responsible for network planning and deployment. Previously, he held the role of Chief Procurement Officer of Grameenphone, leading the company’s sourcing strategy and procurement operations. His international experience includes serving as Vice President and Program Director for Telenor India’s network transformation program, where he led large-scale transformation initiatives. Throughout his career at Grameenphone, he has also held several other key leadership positions, including Head of Regional Operations, Head of Partner Management, and Head of Operational Excellence & Efficiency. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and an Executive MBA in Finance from North South University.
