We are pleased to welcome Mr. Muhammed Noorunnabi to Midland Bank PLC. who has joined October 07, 2026 as Executive Vice President.
Mr. Noorunnabi is a seasoned banking professional with more than 25 years of experience in the banking industry, with strong expertise in Branch Management, Trade Finance and Foreign Exchange. Prior to joining Midland Bank PLC., he served Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC. for more than 17 years, most recently as Senior Vice President & Head of Panthapath Branch. During his tenure, he also held senior leadership positions at Progati Sarani Branch and the Foreign Exchange Branch, where he was responsible for Export and Import Operations.
Mr. Noorunnabi started his banking career in 2001 with Sonali Bank PLC. as a Senior Officer B.R.C. 2000 Batch. During his tenure, he gained extensive experience in General Banking, Loans & Advances, Corporate Relationship Management, Import & Export, and International Trade Finance, serving in various roles across these functions.
Throughout his career, Mr. Noorunnabi has demonstrated strong leadership and business acumen, particularly in business development, customer relationship management, credit assessment, trade finance and team leadership. His professional achievements include the Integrity Award 2019, Managing Director’s Awards for Superior Performance & Excellence in Banking in 2020 and 2021, several Deposit Mobilization Awards.
Mr. Noorunnabi holds an MBA in Banking, M.Sc. and B.Sc. (Honours) in Statistics from the University of Dhaka. He has also completed DAIBB.
With his extensive banking experience, leadership capabilities and strong expertise across business and banking operations, Mr. Noorunnabi is expected to make a valuable contribution to Midland Bank PLC.’s continued growth and success.
