’ Sydney, 3 October 2026: IUTian Sydneysiders, an Australia-based alumni organisation of the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), organised a reunion titled “Bishal Goru Party” at the Rozelle Community Centre in Sydney on 3 October 2026. According to the organisers, more than 400 IUT alumni and their family members from various states across Australia attended the event. The reunion was organised around IUT’s well-known ‘Goru Party’ tradition. Within IUT’s campus culture, a ‘Goru Party’ generally refers to a feast organised by a graduating batch for fellow students and members of the university community, followed by a cultural programme. Over the years, this tradition has become a familiar social and cultural part of the IUT experience, bringing students together beyond their academic years. IUTian Sydneysiders stated that the first alumni event in Australia based on the ‘Goru Party’ theme was organised in Sydney in 2019. In subsequent years, IUT alumni in Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne also arranged similar gatherings inspired by the tradition. This year’s reunion, titled “Bishal Goru Party,” was planned to bring together a larger section of the IUT alumni community living across Australia. The day-long event featured opportunities for introductions and interaction, batch-wise reunions, and social networking. Alumni reconnected with former classmates and acquaintances, shared memories and strengthened friendships in a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The programme began with a tribute acknowledging the Aboriginal peoples of Australia, followed by the national anthems of Australia and Bangladesh. The cultural segment featured drama, dance performances and band music presented by IUT alumni and their family members. Participants from different age groups took part in the performances, adding to the event’s lively and inclusive atmosphere. According to the organisers, one of the key objectives of the reunion was to create a family-friendly and participatory environment for alumni and their families while strengthening relationships and community bonds. Towards the end of the event, the organisers expressed their appreciation to the alumni who travelled from Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne to attend the gathering. Representatives of IUTian Sydneysiders stated that such initiatives aim to strengthen communication, mutual cooperation and social connections among IUT graduates living in different Australian cities. They also expressed their intention to continue organising similar events in the future to keep the alumni community connected.-Press Release Post Views: 27 Post navigation Gadget & Gear Officially Launches iPhone 18 Series in Bangladesh
