ARK Foundation participated in a household survey consultation meeting with the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS), alongside the Bureau of Economic Research, University of Dhaka to discuss the proposed survey on unhealthy diets including SSB. The survey aims to generate evidence on unhealthy diets including beverage consumption, consumer awareness, and product labelling practices across Bangladesh.
The consultation brought together experts to review the proposed survey methodology, sampling design, and data collection approach. Consultation with Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics provided valuable technical recommendations to strengthen the survey and ensure that the findings are reliable and representative.
This collaboration marks an important step towards generating nationally relevant and representative evidence to inform public health policies and promote healthier beverage choices in Bangladesh.
