Upay-foodpanda partnership to simplify transactions

Dhaka: UCB Fintech Company Ltd. upay, the fast growing mobile financial service of United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB), and foodpanda Bangladesh, the country’s leading online food and grocery delivery platform, signed a strategic partnership agreement aimed at promoting seamless, secure, and convenient digital cash collection solution for foodpanda riders across Bangladesh.

The agreement was formally signed recently at a ceremony held in Golden Tulip the Grandmark Dhaka. Mamunur Rashid- Manager-Corporate Sales, Josim Uddin-Regional Sales Manager, Mienul Islam Chowdhury-KAM-Corporate Sales, Sohel Rana- KAM-Corporate Sales were among the attendees. Through this partnership, foodpanda riders will be able to enjoy a smoother and secured payment experience using upay’s digital payment platform, further strengthening the country’s cashless ecosystem.

Under the agreement, upay and foodpanda will work together to introduce rider’s centric user journey so that foodpanda riders can easily migrate to upay collection solution and drive digital transaction adoption. The collaboration will also create opportunities for upay agents and foodpanda riders to benefit from a more efficient collection and settlement process.

The partnership marks another significant milestone in advancing Bangladesh’s digital commerce landscape by combining upay’s robust mobile financial services network with foodpanda’s extensive customer and delivery ecosystem.
