Dhaka : Grameenphone Academy, Grameenphone’s free online learning platform for youth, has taken another step towards equipping young people with practical, future-ready skills through its AI Bootcamp, bringing together aspiring innovators to transform their ideas into AI-powered digital solutions. As part of the Academy’s broader AI Mission, in alignment with Grameenphone’s AI&I program, AI Bootcamp provided 80 selected participants with hands-on learning and product development opportunities, culminating in a final pitching and recognition event held at GPHouse on October 12. To put the participants’ learning into practice, Grameenphone Academy introduced a No-Code AI Web Development Competition, challenging learners to build functional websites using AI prompts without prior programming knowledge. The competition received over 210 submissions from educational institutions all across Bangladesh, of which 80 participants were shortlisted for an intensive, expert-led AI Bootcamp. Following a structured Ideate, Build and Test approach, the AI Bootcamp guided participants through identifying real-world problems, developing AI-powered solutions and refining them into minimum viable products (MVPs) on 3 focus areas: career, skills & MyGP. The Bootcamp culminated in a pitching event where participants showcased their solutions. First place was secured by the team behind “Trajectory,” an AI-powered platform that assesses users’ skills and CVs in real time to provide personalized career guidance, training recommendations and opportunities aligned with their career aspirations. The first runner-up position went to the team behind “MyGP Care,” an AI-powered healthcare hub that connects users with trusted medical services through smart care navigation. The second runner-up position was secured by the team behind “Project Lifeline,” an AI-supported personal safety and emergency preparedness platform designed to help users stay connected and respond effectively during emergencies. In recognition of their achievements, all three winning teams of the AI Bootcamp will receive one year of access to premium AI tools, along with mentorship from subject-matter experts to help them further develop their ideas into impactful, real-world solutions with employment potential. The event was attended by Yasir Azman, Chief Executive Officer of Grameenphone; Tanveer Mohammad, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer; Otto Magne Risbakk, Chief Financial Officer; Andreas Høgberg, Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer; and Farhana Islam, Head of Environment Social Governance (ESG) of Grameenphone; along with other senior leaders and instructors from Grameenphone and participating learners from the Grameenphone Academy. Speaking on the initiative, Yasir Azman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Grameenphone, said, “As AI continues to reshape the way we learn, work and create opportunities, it is important that young people have access to the skills and practical experiences needed to participate in this transformation. At Grameenphone, this philosophy is reflected in our AI&I strategy, where AI is no longer experimental but increasingly embedded across our people, operations and hyper-personalized customer experiences. We believe the future belongs not to AI alone, but to people empowered to use it responsibly and meaningfully. As we build future-ready capabilities within Grameenphone, we are equally committed to extending this ambition beyond our organization. We believe geographical barriers should not limit opportunities. With the right mindset and skills, young people can thrive in both local and global markets, regardless of where they are. Through Grameenphone Academy, we aim to go beyond providing access to learning by enabling young people to apply their knowledge, solve real-world problems and create meaningful value. The AI Bootcamp reflects this commitment, helping learners transform their ideas into tangible solutions while building the confidence and capabilities needed to thrive in an increasingly AI-driven world.”Press Release Post Views: 32 Post navigation A Reunion of Four Decades of Music and Friendship: Nostalgic Gathering of Former Prometheus Members at Banani’s Artist Club Guardian wins double at Bangladesh Fintech Award 2026
