Dhaka : BRAC Bank, Population Crisis Control and Mass Education Committee (PCC & MEC) and AgriPulse have signed a strategic partnership agreement to promote climate-adaptive agricultural financing and sustainable finance practices among beneficiaries in Bangladesh.Syed Abdul Momen, Additional Managing Director and Head of SME Banking at BRAC Bank; Mirza Shamim Reza, Executive Director of PCC & MEC; and Mohammad Ishrat Ullah, Founder and Owner of AgriPulse, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions in Dhaka.Under the partnership, BRAC Bank will provide suitable financing solutions to beneficiaries for climate-adaptive agricultural activities while promoting sustainable finance practices among them. PCC & MEC will act as an intermediary, coordinating between farmers and the financing process, and supporting beneficiary outreach and overall implementation. AgriPulse will provide technology-based technical solutions to support the financing process, including data management and monitoring.Through this collaboration, the three organisations aim to improve farmers’ access to formal financial services, encourage the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices, and strengthen farmers’ resilience to climate-related challenges.The partnership brought together BRAC Bank’s financial expertise, PCC & MEC’s intermediary role, and AgriPulse’s technical capabilities to build a more efficient and sustainable agricultural financing ecosystem.Senior officials from all three institutions attended the event, including Mohammad Jakirul Islam, Head of SME Strategy, Innovation & New Business; and Tapos Kumar Roy, Head of MFI and Agriculture Finance.Commenting on the partnership, Syed Abdul Momen said, “Affordable financing is essential to advancing agricultural sector in Bangladesh, but it must also become more climate-adaptive and sustainable.
