Done in strong partnership with the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) and the International Rotary District 3370, this massive greening initiative is designed to build natural flood defenses and strengthen local climate resilience.”Disaster resilience is not just about responding when things go wrong—it is about proactively protecting our soil, our mountains, and our watersheds before the storms arrive. By planting these trees today, the PRC and our young volunteers are rooting safety, stability, and environmental defense directly into the heart of Bulacan,” said PRC Chairman and CEO Richard J. Gordon. This diverse team brought together 15 chapter leaders, 20 local RC143 volunteers, and 21 passionate Red Cross Youth environmental advocates.Together with our community partners, the team successfully planted a diverse mix of native and fruit-bearing trees to restore the local ecosystem and mitigate future landslide and landslide-related risks.
