Last week, our Disaster Cycle Services team and volunteer leaders came together to reflect, collaborate and prepare for the year ahead. After an incredibly demanding month of responding to severe storms across Illinois, it was an opportunity to learn from one another, strengthen relationships and reaffirm our shared commitment to the people we serve.
From thoughtful discussions and strategic planning to celebrating successes and identifying new opportunities, every conversation centered on one goal: building an even stronger, volunteer-powered disaster workforce.
Thank you to every staff member and volunteer who shared your experiences, ideas and passion throughout the retreat. Your dedication, and the compassion you demonstrate every day, helps ensure we’re ready to respond whenever disaster strikes.
