Dhaka : BRAC Bank has signed a strategic Knowledge Partnership with Daffodil International University (DIU) under FINNOVISION, the bank’s SME Innovation Lab, to advance research-driven solutions for cottage, micro, small and medium enterprise (CMSME) sector in Bangladesh.

The partnership brings together BRAC Bank’s expertise in SME banking and DIU’s academic and research capabilities to promote evidence-based innovation, impact assessment, knowledge exchange, and the co-creation of scalable solutions for sustainable CMSME development.

DIU’s Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammed Masum Iqbal, Dean of Faculty Business & Entrepreneurship Professor Dr Mohammad Rokibul Kabir, BRAC Bank’s Additional Managing Director and Head of SME Banking Syed Abdul Momen, Head of Cottage, Micro & Small Business (Unit-1) Alomgir Hossain, Head of SME Strategy, Innovation & New Business Mohammad Jakirul Islam were present at the event.

FINNOVISION is BRAC Bank’s flagship SME Innovation Lab, focused on advancing the CMSME sector through four strategic pillars: women’s entrepreneurship, smart agriculture, climate resilience, and the formalisation of cottage and microenterprises. By bringing together academia, industry and development partners, the platform seeks to develop innovative, inclusive and sustainable solutions that strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystem in Bangladesh.

About the partnership, BRAC Bank’s Additional Managing Director and Head of SME Banking Syed Abdul Momen, said, “We want to go beyond financing by sharing knowledge, facilitating innovation and developing scalable solutions.
